London, UK, Friday 24 June 2022: Penguin Random House Children’s UK is thrilled to announce a new movie tie-in novelisation of RJ Palacio’s bestselling graphic novel WHITE BIRD, which will be adapted as a major motion picture this autumn starring Ariella Glaser and Orlando Schwerdt with Gillian Anderson and Helen Mirren, and directed by Marc Foster (director of Finding Neverland and Christopher Robin).
The first trailer for White Bird: A Wonder Story, directed by Marc Foster, was released internationally today. Lionsgate presents in association with Participant, a Lionsgate/Mandeville Films production in association with 2DUX2 Productions.
Originally published in graphic novel format in 2019, White Bird: A Novel will publish on 1 September 2022 (Paperback, £7.99, ISBN 9780241605806). Set in the world of Wonder, this is the unforgettable story of Auggie Pullman's classroom bully Julian as he uncovers the story of his grandmother, who was hidden from the Nazis as a young Jewish girl in occupied France during the Second World War.
Next month, Penguin Random House Children’s UK will celebrate ten years of the global phenomenon Wonder with the publication of a special 10th anniversary edition on 7 July 2022 (Paperback, £7.99, 9780552565974).
