No Sweet Sorrow by Denzil Meyrick #CoverReveal

I'm delighted to be helping to celebrate the cover reveal for No Sweet Sorrow by Denzil Meyrick today. Many thanks to Kathryn at Polygon Books for inviting me to take part.

No Sweet Sorrow is the elevenths book in Denzil Meyrick's global bestselling D.C.I. Daley series. I am a latecomer to these books but despite not (yet) having read the previous novels, I absolutely loved the tenth instalment, The Death of Remembrance, and it made my 2022 Hall of Fame of my favourite reads of the year. Last year was the tenth anniversary of the series and the books are currently being adapted for television, starring "Game of Thrones" actor Rory McCann in the lead role. I'm really looking forward to watching the adaptation - but I'm even more excited to read No Sweet Sorrow!
Before I share the cover with you, here's the description of the book,

A potent new drug has hit the streets of Kinloch, and DCI Daley and Scott are struggling to catch the notorious gang behind this evil trade.

After a party of Oxford students arrives in town for a camping trip before a Himalayan expedition, one of the group seeks out an illegal high and is violently assaulted. However, these students are well connected, and this brings further unexpected problems for Daley. Ultimately, he and Scott will discover crimes as disturbing in nature as anything they have ever confronted.

It sounds brilliant and I can't wait to read it! I'll have to be patient until the book is published in June but to whet our appetite until then, here's that cover...

Ta da!

Isn't it a thing of beauty? And as for that tagline...!

No Sweet Sorrow will be published by Polygon Books on 1st June 2023 and can be pre-ordered from the publisher's website now.
