Review Policy

Thank you for taking the time to read my review policy. I am UK based blogger, but am very happy to consider reviewing books published worldwide and will accept submissions from publishers, PR companies, blog tour organisers and authors. I can read either print or ebooks. I love crime fiction but also enjoy SFF, historical, contemporary and women's fiction, YA, and some non-fiction, particularly memoirs. I'm also willing to read outside my preferred genres should the blurb entice me! I work as a teaching assistant so welcome invitations to review books for children. I occasionally read romance but no erotica, please. I love taking part in blog tours and can usually provide a review but am also happy to feature guest posts or to host a Q&A with the author.
I usually have several books lined up so if you would like a book reviewed by a certain date I will require at least three months' notice. If you don't have a date in mind I will add your book to my tbr list but please be aware it may be several months before I'm able to read and review it. Blogging about books is a hobby I am passionate about but I also have a job and a family so I may not be able to accept all requests. Please note if I don't reply to your request within two weeks then regretfully I'm unable to review your book. If you require a post for a particular date but I'm unable to offer a review, I am happy to feature an original guest post of your choosing or an extract from your book.
My reviews are always honest but I prefer not to post negative reviews, I believe all books have their audience and sometimes I'm just not it! If a review appears on Hair Past A Freckle it is a genuine endorsement. I will never ask for any payment for my reviews and I am not part of any affiliate program.
